Description

Crofter Breakfast Tea was inspired by a little grey fergie tractor. The little grey fergie has lived on our croft since she was born in 1947. She is still a working tractor.

Like the fergie, Crofter Breakfast Tea is a versatile blend equally suited to breakfast, a flask on the go or, (in true Tiree style) accompanied by a couple of biscuits after an already large meal. Leaving it in a teapot on the stove to stew for a couple of hours is traditional, but entirely optional.

What is English breakfast tea?

English breakfast tea is a blend of black teas, strong enough to take milk. Crofter is ours: Indian Assam, Kenyan and Sri Lankan black tea. It works at breakfast, in a flask on the go or, in true Tiree style, with a couple of biscuits after an already large meal.

Despite the name, English breakfast tea started with Scottish merchants. Read the history.

I absolutely love this tea, I’m a tea snob now haha. It’s so flavorful yet mild. I 1st tried this when my friend vacationed in Scotland and she brought a few bags back for me. We’ve ordered more since and I’m hooked.

Was gifted the Breakfast tea and loved it. Now I have bought it for myself to enjoy. I like it strong with a spot of milk.
