Gneiss Earl Grey has been inspired by a lighthouse! Gneiss is the bedrock of the Hebrides and Tiree gneiss was the intended building material for the Skerryvore lighthouse, but after the first three foundational courses the builders opted for softer Mull granite for the rest of the tower!
Like its namesake, Gneiss Earl Grey is a solid base for a great cuppa, topped with lighter notes.

Earl Grey is black tea flavoured with bergamot, a citrus fruit. Gneiss is Sri Lankan black tea (98%) with natural bergamot flavouring and blue cornflowers: a solid cuppa, topped with lighter notes.

Why is it called Gneiss?

All positive, just have to be really careful pulling the string off the bags as one or two times we’ve been too hasty and it makes a wee hole releasing the leaves. Love the presentation and ordered another couple of bags as a wee gift for a friend too.
