Gneiss Earl Grey has been inspired by a lighthouse! Gneiss is the bedrock of the Hebrides and Tiree gneiss was the intended building material for the Skerryvore lighthouse, but after the first three foundational courses the builders opted for softer Mull granite for the rest of the tower!ย
Like its namesake, Gneiss Earl Grey is a solid base for a great cuppa, topped with lighter notes.
Ingredients:
Brew for 3 mins in 100 degree water
Net weight 50g (20 teabags) | 25g (10 teabags)
Plastic free tea bags. Use commercial compost or your council food waste where required.
Earl Grey is black tea flavoured with bergamot, a citrus fruit. Gneiss is Sri Lankan black tea (98%) with natural bergamot flavouring and blue cornflowers: a solid cuppa, topped with lighter notes.
Yes. Earl Grey is a black tea, so it has caffeine, like a breakfast tea. If you want the cuppa without it, try Decroft, our decaf black tea.
Cornflowers. They are part of the blend.

Earl Grey is my favourite tea and I consider myself a discerning drinker of it! I took a gamble on this one as I never usually drink anything but the one brand but I’m glad I did. It matched if not surpassed it. Worth every penny!

A flavoursome Earl Grey

As good as any Earl Grey that I have tried in the past. One bag makes a small pot of tea, so if you like your Earl on the gentle side, don’t let it steep too long.
