Born with a crick in her neck, Wonky the lamb had a zest for life that refused to give in. After conquering social media one wobble at a time, she now grazes happily on our croft. Like Wonky, this refreshing blend of mint and nettle is an energising, zingy delight, packed with flavour and the kind of woolly determination that makes hearts melt and hashtags trend.
Formerly Tilley – same tea, different label. Tilley lamps once powered island homes. Now Tilley the Turbine powers community projects.
Ingredients:
Brew for 3 mins at 100 degrees
Net weight: 30g (20 teabags) | 15g (10 teabags)
Plastic free tea bags. Use commercial compost or your council food waste where required.
Nettle tea is an infusion of dried nettle leaves. Wonky is our mint and nettle tea: 70% mint (peppermint and spearmint) and 30% nettle. The mint leads and the nettle sits underneath.
It used to be called Tilley. Same blend, new name, and a lamb on the front.
No. The nettles are dried, and dried nettles don’t sting.
No. It is mint and nettle only, with no tea leaves, so it is caffeine-free.
3 minutes at 100 degrees. We are reliably informed the bags are so well filled you can get two cups out of one.
Wonky is a lamb from our croft, born with a crick in her neck. Meet Wonky.
Tilley is now Wonky. Same mint and nettle blend. Tilley was named after the Tilley lamps that once lit island homes, and Tilley the turbine, which now powers community projects.

Social media brought me to Tiree Tea through a lamb named Wonky and I am so pleased I discovered them because Tiree Tea is now the only tea I buy. I think I’ve worked my way through almost every blend and they are all fantastic.
My favourite is Tilley (the essential first cuppa of the day that gets me functioning) followed closely by Ferry Berry (I love the heat in that cuppa) and Gneiss (the best Earl Grey tea out there).
The quality is consistently excellent, the flavours are beautifully crafted, and every cup feels like a little treat.
If you’re looking for something a bit different from the usual supermarket teas, I couldn’t recommend Tiree Tea more highly.

My absolute favourite tea – and the only one I drink since a visit to beautiful Tiree a few years ago. Cannot praise it or the Team at Tiree tea too highly. I order my tea bags on a regular basis, very easy to do so on the website and the delivery is so prompt and efficient. I’ve introduced this tea to several friends who now also order regularly from this company. Love it! A huge thanks to the Tiree Tea Team.

Lovely and refreshing on a hot day.
The mint flavour is very subtle, some mint teas are too overpowering but this is perfect
